Post-Docs of Excellence: Hadamard Lecturers
These positions are intended for young mathematicians who have demonstrated their excellence in the development and transmission of knowledge. They are long-term post-docs (3 years) with a low teaching load (corresponding to one third of the statutory service of a Maître de Conférence des Universités). The salary is around €28,900 net/year (before tax).
Hadamard lecturers are expected to be able to teach mathematics in either French or English (if they can teach in both languages, that's ideal).
Applications are to be submitted online below when the annual call for applications is launched. The winners are selected by a jury, who first make a pre-selection on the basis of their application files, then rank the pre-selected candidates on the basis of an audition to check their ability to express themselves orally. All auditions are conducted remotely, to ensure fairness and avoid long-distance travel.
To be eligible, candidates must have defended their thesis before September 1 of their recruitment year.
The application must include:
-
A curriculum vitae with a list of publications,
-
A research program,
-
A wish to be assigned to one of the FMJH-affiliated laboratories listed below,
-
The name of a scientific contact in the chosen laboratory,
-
The names of one or two referees,
-
A letter of motivation linking the assignment request to the research program.
