Agreements with Canada

Signature on 9 April, 2019
There is a long tradition of cooperation between France and Canada in the field of mathematics, symbolized in particular by the existence of a CNRS international laboratory within the CRM in Montréal. In this vein, an FSMP/FMJH/CNRS/CRM cooperation agreement is currently being signed. This agreement specifies how to make our different invitation programs compatible, with the ambition of making them more attractive to those who wish to use them. The agreement is very similar to those signed separately by the FMJH and FSMP with the Fields Institute in Toronto.
Agreement with the Fields Institute in Toronto
The FMJH and the Fields Institute for Research in Mathematical Sciences (hosted by the University of Toronto, Ontario), signed a framework agreement on April 9, 2019 at the Canadian Embassy in France to stimulate research and mediation in mathematics. This agreement has been renewed for 5 years to May 31, 2024. It aims to promote, among other things, exchanges of doctoral students, visits by junior and senior researchers and the « Fields undergraduate summer research ».
The Fields Undergraduate Summer Research Program (FUSRP) welcomes carefully selected international undergraduates for a rich mathematical research experience in July and August.
